Advisory Committees to the Board

Advisory committees may be formed to study any subject related to the improvement of local educational services.

Recommendations of such committees shall be given careful consideration by the board, but such recommendations shall not relieve the board of its legal responsibility to make final decisions about such matters.

Except as specifically provided by the board, citizen advisory committees shall cease to function when their reports have been received or when the purpose for which they were established have been accomplished or cease to be relevant.
