The board shall make provisions for periodic staff reports.
The board shall provide access to staff for the airing of concerns outside of the collective bargaining agreement. Specific procedures may be available.
All communications concerning school business from the board to employees and from employees to the board shall be made through the superintendent.
In general, communication with staff shall be through the use of a district newspaper, administrative bulletins, advisory committee to the superintendent, superintendent and principal administrative meetings, etc. Teachers can expect an “open door” policy for audience with the superintendent and building principals as long as an attempt is not being made to go over the head of either or without proper notification to this extent.
Board members are encouraged to visit district schools on an informal basis. Official visits by board members shall be carried on only under board authorization. Prior arrangements for both informal and official board member visits shall be made through the superintendent.
