The superintendent is the chief executive officer of the district, serves as the clerk and has, under the direction of the board, general supervision of all schools, personnel, and departments of the district. The superintendent is responsible for managing the schools under the board’s policies and is accountable to the board for that management.
The superintendent may delegate to other school personnel the exercise of any powers and the discharge of any duties imposed upon the superintendent by these policies or by vote of the board. Delegation of power or duty, however, shall not relieve the superintendent of responsibility for action taken under such delegation.
