Talented and Gifted Referral Period

The Winston-Dillard School District is committed to an educational program that recognizes the unique value, needs and talents of each individual student. Curriculum and instruction designed to meet the level and rate of learning of each high ability student are integral parts of this commitment.
The first two weeks of April have been designated as the TAG referral period for this school year in district schools. During this time, parents and teachers are invited to nominate students who have the potential of performing in the 97% of the student population. If you are interested in nominating your student for this program please come to the school’s office to fill out a permission slip to assess your student. The permission to assess must be turned in by April 11, 2013. Students will complete the TAG Assessment to determine if they are academically talented or intellectually gifted during the third week of April.
